The Erté "Art to Wear" jewelry collection is the culmination of this world-renowned artists career.

Erté was born in St. Petersburg, Russia in 1892. He began his career as a fashion designer in 1912 and throughout his long career designed costumes for the theater and opera. From La Traviata and The Barber of Seville to the Folies-Bergere and Ziegfeld's Follies his spectacularly imaginative costumes and set designs delighted audiences. In 1915 he began a collaboration with Harper's Bazaar magazine that was to last for 22 years. His designs appeared on 240 covers. His works have been on exhibition throughout the world in such venues as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Louvre and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. In 1974 he created his first serigraph, Splendeur and in 1979 entered the world of jewelry with his "Art to Wear" fine jewelry collection.

Erté had often expressed a desire to design jewelry but doubted that artisans could be found with the necessary skills for the intricate works that he wished to create. Once that relationship was found and established, for the next decade they produced, in limited editions, the highly successful "Art to Wear" fine jewelry collection. Now, after an absence of almost ten years, the Four Seasons Design Group, well renowned for its museum replicas and using original molds and models, has been able to revive production. These beautiful, signed creations are available in 14kt. gold with precious and semi precious stones and, in sterling silver with crystal stones.
