The designs capture the water lilies as they float on the pale and dark hues of the pond at Giverny.
These designs were commissioned by The Art Institute of Chicago.

Sea Turtle Box

Sea Turtle

Sea Turtles can weigh up to 700 pounds, making them the largest of all the shelled turtles. Dating back to the age of the dinosaur, these gentle creatures have evolved from land dwellers to the graceful swimmers we see today. Unique among sea turtles, the adults are herbivores, feeding on sea grass and algae. It is also one of the few marine turtles known to leave the sea for purposes other than nesting. If you are fortunate, you an catch one sunbathing on the shore amongst seals and birds. Green sea turtle begin their journey as a new hatchling from their nest in the sand, and, if lucky enough to survive, can go on to live up to eighty years in the wild. Green Sea Turtle populations are still in danger because of illegal hunting for their meat and eggs. Pollution, habitat destruction, and drowning in fisherman’s nets, are also contributing factors in the decline of this amazing species.
